First things first, I'm now "supervisor" of the Production Artists at my job (perhaps permanently...at the very least, until the Senior Production Artist comes back from Maternity leave on Monday...it's still up in the air) and I report directly to the Director of Sales! Apparently I've blown away my supervisor with how good I've been doing! Too bad that doesn't mean a pay raise ...oh boo.
THEN, I find out the guy who's been supervisor of my suite (Operations Support, what-what!) is leaving us to work in a different part of the building. That means, there will not longer be Operations Support so the artists will be all alone in a corner. He's been the best Supervisor EVER so our team is SUPER sad about him leaving. In fact, there will won't even BE a team. It's not going to be just the 3 production artists all by ourselves in a corner of the office!
Also, due to an insulting comment I just got (and the fact that I may or may not be taking things too personally at the moment and it might just SEEM insulting to me and wasn't meant to be) I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to stay active on SA. I'm going on vacation this weekend so maybe some R+R will help me clear my head. All I'll say is that coming from my life background, I don't like people thinking that I spend money left and right just because I need/do freelance on the side to earn extra money to help with expenses. I don't live what I'd call a "lavish" lifestyle at all. Just because I don't want to draw in my free time after doing it 8 hours a day at work and the fact that I'd rather spend it doing freelance or spending time with my boyfriend... I THOUGHT people would understand that too. To try to guilt me about NOT submitting on SA (and then arguing that I should post my freelance when some of my clients DON't want me to...THEN after hearing how many projects I've been working that I must live a "lavish" lifestyle that I "must" work that much when that's not the case at all) is unbelievable to me. :(
*breathe KariNeko, just breathe* Like I said, I MIGHT just be taking it way too personal but it was just the way it was typed that made me so upset....STILL, if I'm still wanted here then I'd hate to leave due to ONE person.
Anyhoo, I'll let you folks know either way on what I decide.
